It was a lose-lose situation...

 Today morning I was in hurry to go office. I was almost about to leave my home. Suddenly one person approached me. I concluded that his eyes were searching people in front of the row of houses. When he caught me, he asked for a bottle of water with hesitation. I stared at him in a hostile way.  I was trying to recognize his  identity since  he was not alone in the area. He was dressed in green. I denied to give him water bluntly. Denying was my obligation that aroused out of situation as I was newly joined and supposed to be a punctual one.  Sympathy and empathy were blurred (not vanished) under the influence of prestige. He was accompanied by few more who were dressed similarly.  I saw them eradicating the roadside weeds, probably from the municipal corporation. I turned back to close the gate and saw the person with empty bottle  full of water. The person moved ahead. I was starting my scooter and thinking about my helplessness  cum sel...

An experience towards Ending Humanity...

Today while going to my work place I was troubled on traffic. Traffic is a force of habit but today's peculiar incident on usual traffic made the day unusual. During red signal, when everyone including me was waiting for green signal to move on, suddenly an old person came into my sight who was coping up in the midstream of traffic.   At once,  it appeared like a beggar, but soon I apprehended that he was an old man who was trying to sell out pens to the mob. He was shabbily dressed,  weak and exhausted but his eyes were glowing with a hope that somebody would purchase his pens. All of a sudden an idea splitted my mind and I found myself enveloped with insecurity. I thought the old man as a fraud, terrorists etc. Forthwhile,  I came out with perplexity and started exploring for my wallet to purchase his pens. I found some money but the old man was disappeared in the crowds of  big vehicles and miserable people. I could not turned back in search of the old man...
